The Mongolian yurt is a kind of house which Mongolian herdsmen dwell in. It is convenient to construct and move, suitable for animal husbandry production and nomadic life. It has a dome roof and its top and circular wall are covered with one to two thick felts. It looks small from the outside, but is quite spacious inside, with good ventilation and daylighting. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, and provides good shelter from the wind and rain, very suitable for an ethnic group who often moves from one pasture to another.
